Skyscanner is proud to be the world’s most trusted travel app and website. Here, our mission is to lead the global transformation to modern and sustainable travel and ensure a seamless experience for all those who want to explore the planet while protecting it.

At Skyscanner, our global presence offers scale and our inclusive work environment gives everyone the chance to make a real impact. Wherever you’ll join us, you’ll work alongside people who’ll inspire you to achieve your best while tackling some of the most exciting challenges within the travel sector.

Rewarding. Energising. Open.

Python, Java, SQL, Spark and Databricks – you’ll be up to speed with some of them, and keen to build your knowledge on them all. Skyscanner is a place where your senior-level talents will really come into play. They’ll cover areas such as Java, NoSQL databases, SQL, distributed workflow (Hadoop/Spark), AWS, Kubernetes, Istio.

As a skilled Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for fully leading the end to end collection of our traveller and business data and converting it into a clear vision of user intent. This will then tackle some of our most complex business problems and optimise the traveller journey. You are used to processing and enhancing large data sets. But while this technical talent is critical, you’ll also need the aim to produce a state of the art platform, using cutting edge technologies.

We need your expertise to help us do something great for travellers: make booking stays and journeys more sustainable and straightforward. It involves technical challenges and the newest technology, from machine learning and cloud services to world-class APIs.

Skyscanner’s unwavering dedication to our travellers and partners remains as strong as ever. We’re confident that our travellers’ appetite to explore the world will return, and we are excited to navigate the new considerations of an evolving industry.

Already a global leader in travel, we want to elevate the way we work to a whole other level. In return, you’ll get meaningful things like medical insurance, health screenings, headspace subscriptions, a home office allowance and the option to buy more holiday. You’ll have the opportunity to work from any country for 4 weeks a year, and 30 days in our other global offices. Everything, in other words, to help you relax and give your best.
